Modular Cabinets

Modular cabinets are cabinets premade to fit a standard kitchen space. They are also known as semi-custom cabinets. Modular cabinets can be installed and uninstalled easily, partly becasue of their standardized sizes. Oftentimes made of MDF, fiberboard, or plywood, though solid wood is a possibility. Often times, they are premade in a factory using pre made templates and offer limited customisation. Modular cabinets are often storage units that do not need to be attached to other cabinets. 

Modular cabinets are popular because they combine a certain amount of customisation while still being more cost effective as custom cabinets. However, critics of the modular cabinet will point out that quality levels of modular cabinets are less stringent than craftsman cabinets, as modular cabinets are factory built internationally, sometimes with underage and underskilled workforces.
